I know everybody shit on him for not living up to what you hope for in a 1st-rounder, but I'd say we missed his run-D yesterday.

And Franklin as far as run defense, he was the King Henry slayer

Did you expect an owner to reply different?
Hiring a replacement can be more difficult than firing.
This ship has sailed on being competent.
Then NFL is not as forgiving when mistakes are made.

True, but it was more than just showing confidence, it sounded like they are close, like Ballard is almost a family member. I was hoping for any comment or body language that might make her comments as just saying the right thing....I didn't see that. Personally I think she is afraid to make a major move like that, and just wants to play it safe.

Sticking with Ballard is the safe choice, nobody has said Ballard is incompetent or incapable of making decent personnel moves. A lot of people just think better choices could be made, but Ballard is kind of the Donnie Walsh of the NFL, his teams are going to be competitive enough to sell tickets and not be considered trash, but not good enough to compete for championships.

My personal opinion is Ballard assembles a group of very good athletes, some even great, but not a lot of really great football players. Sometimes great football players are not the easy best athlete choice, they have intangibles and toughness that our teams always seem to lack. Just my opinion.

I would hope her tone would be different today. A little anger would be nice.

Damn Chrome I’m very confused. How could you have an opinion on McDaniels that differed from NFL execs? Do you think you know more than them? You’ve repeatedly now told me how it’s impossible to have an opinion different than someone established in the NFL. Does that not apply to you? Only anyone with an opinion different than you I guess.

So now back to my question, did Ballard lead the hiring process and recommend (effectively hire) the coaches whose decisions you are shielding him from? The exception of course being Saturday. And you are right I’m very lacking in roster knowledge, but I’m pretty sure a coach can’t start a player not on the roster. Or am I wrong about that? Please let me know. It’s all very confusing I’m so happy to have you to explain it to me.

See if I hadn’t been saying it it would all be hindsight and piling on. That I’ve said it and been right means you get to claim I think I know everything. There is no winning. You are on a message board for opinions and discussion claiming there is no right opinion but yours and Polians when we have actual fucking results and NFL history to say how wrong you are. Everyone with Ballard’s actual job and resume has been fired. But somehow you are smarter than every other team. It’s you, the Colts, and Polian that are the genius’. Not the actual teams that have had more success in the same time period.

I never said any of that. I never said opinions are infallible. I just don’t dismiss them out of out hand bc I disagree with them. Especially if the person is more knowable in a field. I saw first hand what Mcdaniels did in Denver, how the players reacted to him. It was a toxic environment. But I’ve never talked to the guy. I’ve never had to interactions with him or long conversations. Hear his regrets about the coaching situation there or his side. Don’t see him at the combine and get drinks afterward. There is a whole world I don’t see or interact with so I allow for the fact I don’t know everything. I think this concept is lost on you.

I’m not going to reply to all the rest of your shit. You’ve demonstrated a surface level knowledge of what happens. The fact you are shitting on the opinions of others is laughable. Anything goes wrong blame the GM attitude is a waste of my time. I’m fine holding him accountable for record, at the end of the day you didn’t win enough. That’s the ultimate deciding factor. But some of the moronic made up stuff is eye rolling. I suggest you educate yourself a little and you won’t look so uninformed.

He was one of the best run defending DEs in the league. That’s not something to dismiss. Everyone talks about sacks but the run is still important and might be getting more important today.

He wasn’t the only ex colt to have a good day.

Nick cross did well

Okereke did well.

Even Rock sin had a game winning play at the end.

Brisset and Wentz both played tremendous yesterday in leading their teams to wins.

Chris Ballard swims in a sewer of rotting dicks!
