Hey Spike, good to see you out here, good luck in the Soda Picks Championship!

There was a nuance in that situation, though ...... the Bills were starting the conversions attempt from the 1-yardline instead of the 2-yardline, due to a penalty on the Chiefs. I might have gone for 2 in that situation also, regardless of the score ...... not to chase the points, but to take advantage of what was a considerably easier 2-point conversion. o |

As I said, I probably would have gone for it regardless of the score. Even if I were up by 9 points, I still would have gone for the 2 because you can't pass up an opportunity to get an easy conversion from the one-yardline ...... and if you can't get one yard, then maybe it isn't your team's day. o |

I would not have gone for 2 there ....... there is still a lot of football to be played. Unless there are exceptional circumstances (such as a penalty on the defense to put the ball at the one-yardline), I don't like going for 2/chasing points until the final 7 or 8 minutes of the 4th quarter. o |
So instead up being up by a field goal, chasing the points bites the Bills in the ass.

Or even being up by 2 ...... if the Bills had kicked that extra point just now, they would be up 23-21, and another TD and an extra point would make it a 2-possession game at 30-21 ...... like I said, there is still too much football to be played and all sorts of scenarios that might pan out to be chasing points unless it's the final 7 or 8 minutes of the 4th quarter. o |
